I think here at Cisco we really have a strong culture, people really care about networking - both in a computer sense and a social sense. People are encouraged to communicate and collaborate, even though some of the employees are in remote offices. We enjoy a good deal of freedom, as many employees can even work from home or in a remote office.
I have a very good manager. She gives credit whenever credit is due and is really a joy to work with. She hires competent and professional people for my team. However, since the people here are so competent and competitive, you would expect to work very hard here. The pay is really good, though.
The perks are good too, we have a shuttle program, which is especially important since the gas price is approaching $5 these days. We enjoy V8 vegetable juices at work, but I would like to have better food other than unhealthy snacks like popcorn. The location of Cisco is great - nothing beats the weather and sunshine of California!
