Working at Facebook has been an amazing experience. The product is seen by an extremely large, enthusiastic userbase. Engineering teams within the company are really small, so each person has the opportunity to make a big impact and own some really amazing systems. The culture within the company (and engineering in particular) is dedicated to eliminating any obstacles or red tape that would slow down iteration or product delivery.
From a technical perspective, I have been able to learn a ton while working here. Projects tend to move quickly, and also need to perform at an ever-growing scale as our userbase expands. The work environment encourages information sharing and enthusiastic debate. Facebook also has a commitment to sharing knowledge outside of the company through a number of internal projects that have been open-sourced.
Simply put, I love working here.
