Yahoo used to offer superb benefits and campus is built so you do not need to leave (depending your point of view, the campus is next to nothing so if you do not drive to work, you are not able to leave at all). However working situation is worsening since Google is eating up the market share. People are getting stressed, especially if you're working in the core business like searching, do not expect much work-life balance. Other departments are probably a decent bet, as they seems to be more protected. Anyhow today's Yahoo is different from the good old days - I know one person who was told by her manager not to come back after maternity leave. Later that manager left as well because the management fired people and replaced people by their friends and work buddies. Talents start to leave. Overall speaking I cannot say it is a bad company to work for, but with constantly changing management, good luck.
